Finance Manager

  • Part-time (3 days p/w or equivalent)

The Company

The organisation is a privately owned, Melbourne-based property group.

The Role

Working closely with the senior leadership team, the primary focus of your role is the efficient financial management of the business.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of key compliance requirements such as Financial Statements, and Business Activity Statements for Companies, Trusts and Partnerships.
  • Completion of financial statements for group structures with multiple entities.
  • Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies when required.
  • Manage the maintenance of financial records including transaction processing, reconciliations, monthly reporting, and operation of accounting processes.
  • Ensure monthly reports, board reports and annual accounts are accurate and prepared in a timely fashion and in accordance with good industry practice.
  • Provide regular reports to the Managing Director in relation to financial performance of the organisation and financial management activities.

Experience Required

The preferred candidate will be CA/CPA qualified and will have developed high level technical skills in a relevant setting.

In addition, to your technical skills, you will possess high level communication skills and the ability build and maintain relationships. You will have the ability to advise and provide meaningful information to internal and external stakeholders.

Proficiency in MYOB and MS Excel.
